Session: Can you hear me now: creating the conditions for conversations on change.

DEI has been a critical yet challenging space to navigate over the last few years. Although the commitment of leadership in most organizations remains high, there is what some might call a DEI “fatigue” or confusion that seems to be setting in.

I believe the time has come to rekindle DEI commitment in most organizations and I would like to offer a way to do that with a conference called Can you hear me now: creating the conditions for conversations on change.

Can you hear me now is an interactive talk around intentionally creating the conditions for safe conversations on challenging subjects.

The upper limit to our commitment to change is often our ability to welcome each other in the uncomfortable, tender moments of “not knowing”. The questions we fear asking. The mistakes we hesitate to make. The ideas we are reluctant to share.

With this talk, the hope is to discuss, unpack and experience the conditions for safety that lead to collective change.

This talk is both inspirational AND practical. It uses storytelling and concrete examples to help participant connect their own experiences to the material and move out of their comfort zones without feeling threatened.

Key Takeaways

  • Understanding what unsafe conditions for conversations on change look like and what their impact is.
  • Exploring the conditions and principles that make these conversations possible
  • Getting clear on what might get in the way of our capacity to connect to each other

Bio

Bibigi Haile founded The Beauvoir Group to give women the license to be Unapologetically Visible, make bold moves, and stop apologizing for what they want from their professional lives.

As a sought-after keynote speaker and strategic advisor to women in leadership, Bibigi has rightfully owned spots on national stages sharing her approach to women’s visibility, imposter syndrome, and personal branding.

When she isn’t on stage, she’s still speaking – her award winning, 5-star rated podcast Speaking with Women invites women to share their experience in the modern workplace.

Bibigi is also and especially the mother of a wise 8-year-old, third culture kid, podcast and book nerd, and a Crossfit enthusiast.
